Northern Cambria High School is part of the Northern Cambria School District. The public high school is located in northwestern Cambria County in Pennsylvania. It serves students in grades 9-12. The district geographically comprises the borough of Northern Cambria and the townships of Barr and Susquehanna. Surrounding high schools include Cambria Heights High School, Central Cambria High School, Blacklick Valley High School, Penns Manor High School, Purchase Line High School and Harmony Area High School.

District Affiliation

Northern Cambria competes in District 6 of the PIAA. In most sports, Northern Cambria is either in the A or AA classification. District championships include:

PIAA Championships

The Colts of Northern Cambria have won two team state titles. The 2005 girls volleyball team won the PIAA championship at the A classification, defeating the Marian Catholic Fillies 3 games to 0 games. They defeated the Reading Central Catholic Cardinals in the semifinals 3 games to 1 game. Forty years earlier, the 1965 boys basketball team won the school's first state championship.

The Colts finished as state runners-up in A volleyball in 2004 and 2006; hence, they reached the state title game 3 consecutive years. In 2004, Northern Cambria defeated Reading Central Catholic in the state semifinals 3 games to 1 game. They then lost to the Cochranton Cardinals of District X 3 games to 0 games. In 2006, Northern Cambria defeated the Geibel Catholic Gators of Disctrict 7 (WPIAL). They defeated the Gators 3 games to 2 games. The Colts lost to Reading Central Catholic 3 games to 0 games in the state championship game.

In girls softball, Northern Cambria reached the state's final four two times. In 2006, the Colts lost to eventual state champion [[Blue Ridge High School|Blue Ridge] in the state semifinals. In 2003, the Colts lost to Chartiers-Houston in the state semifinals.

Janae Dunchack recently won an individual state championship in track and field at the 2007 PIAA state championships. As a freshman, Janae won gold in the high jump, clearing 5'3".

Conference Affiliation

Northern Cambria's athletic teams compete in the Heritage Conference. Most of the schools in this conference are in Indiana County. The conference consists of the following teams:
