While on station in the Gulf, ''Warramunga'' conducted 150 boardings and security patrols, over 1200 boat evolutions, 21 Replenishments at Sea and Vertical Replenishments, 320 flying hours by its embarked Navy Seahawk helicopter and 450 investigative queries of merchant Vessels. Warramunga was away for 186 days travelling around 24981 nautical miles. ''Warramunga'' arrived home on [[2 February]] [[2007]] being replaced by [[HMAS Toowoomba (FFH 156)|HMAS ''Toowoomba'']]. Operational history
On 31 July 2006 HMAS Warramunga departed Fleet Base West for the Persian Gulf as part of Operation Catalyst taking over duties from HMAS Ballarat. While on station in the Gulf, Warramunga conducted 150 boardings and security patrols, over 1200 boat evolutions, 21 Replenishments at Sea and Vertical Replenishments, 320 flying hours by its embarked Navy Seahawk helicopter and 450 investigative queries of merchant Vessels. Warramunga was away for 186 days travelling around 24981 nautical miles. Warramunga arrived home on 2 February 2007 being replaced by HMAS Toowoomba. This deployment was Warramunga's first deployment to the middle east since her commissioning in 2001. [1].
