Facts
- No team was able to score more than 100 points against Melbourne from Round 1, 1955 until Round 5, 1963 when Collingwood, with Terry Waters's 7 goals, defeated them 15.10 (100) to 7.10 (52) at Victoria Park, Melbourne.
- The rain persisted throughout the week and further heavy downpours on the Friday caused the postponement of Round 11 to the following Saturday, July 20th. This was the last time a round has been postponed.
