Hans Frankenthal (July, 1926–December, 1999) was a German Jew born in Schmallenberg near Dortmund. In 1943 he and his family were deported to Auschwitz contentration camp in Poland. He and his brother survived the Holocaust and returned to their home in Germany were they experienced the unfortunatlly all-to-common disbelief and denial of the Nazi war crimes.
