Cory Baxter is a fictional character played by Kyle Massey on comedy television series That's So Raven and the spin off Cory in the House.
Character Information
Cory Baxter, (born May 1993), is the younger sibling of Raven Baxter and the son of Tanya and Victor Baxter. Cory aspires to be wealthy and is able to speak Japanese and Spanish, and can juggle. Cory is said to be the richest member of his family, even having more money than his dad. An entrepreneur, Cory has started many business ventures with his friends Larry (David Henrie) and William (Frankie Ryan Manriquez). Larry and William are also members of Cory's band, con-artist Stanley (Bobb'e J. Thompson) is more Cory's rival than friend, but the two team up on occasion.
He has a "What's disgusting about Raven"-file in his room. As the name implies, it's a collection of small notes telling disgusting truths about Raven. Cory never reveals how he got hold of the facts and it is only mentioned in one episode, Ye Olde Dating Game. It is, although, implied that he's put down a lot of work into it, since he has sorted the facts alphabetical, by date, by location and by body parts. There is also a running gag about Cory having a big head. This is true, as The Juicer especially wants to 'juice' HIS head.
It is also revealed in the Cory in the House pilot episode The New Kid in Town that he is also afraid of horses (he even threw up while riding a merry-go-round).
Initially, Cory had a crush on Raven's best friend Chelsea, but nothing came of it. Eventually Cory dates Cindy (Jordyn Coleman), and often asks Cindy's best friend, Madison (Rhyon Nicole Brown), for romantic advice. However, in Cory in the House, he ends up having a crush on Meena Paroom.
Cory in the House
After Raven went to college, Cory and his father left San Francisco and moved to the White House, where Victor became the personal chef for the President of the United States. In Washington, D.C., Cory befriends Newt Livingston (Jason Dolley) and Meena Paroom (Maiara Walsh), as well as meeting new people like the President's 8-year-old daughter Sophie Martinez (Madison Pettis). Apparently Cory has a crush on Meena. Cory started a band with Newt and Meena called D.C 3. As Cory is older, his character has matured and uses more common slang terms.
