Paulinho Da Costa (born May 31, 1948) is a Brazilian jazz fusion percussionist born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, probably best known for his years spent with Sergio Mendes from 1973–1977. Aside from his contributions to the Brazilian jazz idiom, he has also done crossover works with Dizzy Gillespie and Freddie Hubbard, among others.[1]
