Baron Jan Leon Hipolit Kozietulski (b. July 4, 1781 in Skierniewice - February 3, 1821 in Warsaw) was a Polish Colonel, the hero of Samosierra.
Jan was commander of the 1st Squadron of the 1st Chevau-Légers Lancers, Imperial Guard Regiment commanded by Wincenty Krasinski during the Napoleonic Wars. He led the famous charge on Samosierra, Spain in 1808 and distinguished himself on the Battle of Wagram in 1809. He was three times wounded, on November 30, 1806, July 6, 1809 and on October 25, 1812.
In the Polish (Congress) Kingdom, Jan became the commander of the 4th Uhlan Regiment.
