Robert Kaplow is a novelist and teacher whose works include"Two in the City"; "Alex Icicle: A Romance in Ten Torrid Chapters"; Alessandra in Love and "Alessandra in Between" two comic tales about the romantic tribulations of a sardonic and intelligent high school junior; The Cat Who Killed Lillian Jackson Braun: A Parody, satirizing the books of Lillian Jackson Braun and the mystery genre;Me and Orson Welles: A Novel, a romantic coming-of-age story set in 1937 around the founding of Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre. "Me and Orson Welles" is currently optioned for film by Richard Linklater. Kaplow's most recent novel is "Who's Killing the Great Writers of America?": a satire of writers, critics, and publishers. For National Public Radio's Morning Edition, Mr. Kaplow created "Moe Moskowitz and the Punsters" : a series of musical and satirical pop-culture parodies. He is currently completing "Nobody's Heart: A Novel About Teachers".
