The CWA Dagger in the Library Award is an annual award given by the British Crime Writers' Association to a particular author. Yearly shortlists are drawn up from submissions by libraries across Britain, and the final decision is made by a panel of librarians. The award is sponsored by the Random house Group, and consists of an ornamental dagger and £1500 prize-money.
