Airvana is an innovator and leader in Mobile Broadband network infrastructure systems based on third-generation CDMA2000 1xEV-DO wireless packet data technology. EV-DO networks are revolutionizing mobile broadband connectivity, delivering wireless Internet access at speeds up to 2.4 Mbps anywhere, any time. Wireless service providers worldwide are adopting EV-DO technology, offering new mobile broadband services and experiencing rapid subscriber growth.

About

Networks based on Airvana’s technology are supporting a wide range of mobile broadband information, communication and entertainment services for millions of subscribers throughout the world.

Airvana’s flagship products form the radio access infrastructure for CDMA2000 1xEV-DO (1xEvolution Data Optimized) networks. 1xEV-DO is a third generation broadband wireless packet data technology that is enabling wireless service providers to revolutionize mobile broadband connectivity. By September 2006 the number of subscribers to EV-DO services worldwide crossed 45 million, more than doubling over the prior year.

Airvana is also helping make fixed mobile convergence (FMC) a reality with products that will extend the reach of core network services to subscribers regardless of their access method: EV-DO, UMTS and wireline, outdoors and in-building. Airvana’s FMC products will enable carriers to take advantage of wireline broadband connections that already exist in most offices and homes to deliver wireless services through a combination of cellular and Wi-Fi networks.

Finally, Airvana also provides products for specialized mobile broadband applications such as air-to-ground networks that will deliver mobile in-flight broadband connectivity to airline passengers.
