1987–88 La Liga

The 1987/1988 La Liga season saw 20 teams participate in the top flight Spanish league. It was won by Real Madrid with Real Sociedad finishing runners up. RCD Mallorca, CE Sabadell and UD Las Palmas were relegated.

This season, the league was expanded to 20 teams and the relegation playoff (promoción) returned.
