Jurassic Park was a video game for the SNES/Super Famicom based on the book by Michael Crichton. It was developed by Ocean Software and released in 1994. The player views everything from the top-down view for most of the game, but inside buildings the player experienced the game from the first person view, arguably making it an early First-person shooter. In the game you control Alan Grant, and you must complete certain tasks in order, including clearing out a raptor nest and turning the generator on in a utility shed so you can turn the power on, enabling you to open and close gates and the like. You communicate with others on the island via communication ports set up around the island. The game's soundtrack has not been given much attention, although it has various music that fits the setting (none from the movie). Unfortunately, the game lacked a way to save the game, so players would have to play through the entire game in one setting, a la Super Mario Bros.

Note that other games named "Jurassic Park" appeared on the NES, Game Boy, Sega Genesis, Game Gear, DOS, and the Commodore Amiga. These are all different games from one another.
