Leïla Bekhti is a young French Kabyle film and television actress, born at Issy-les-Moulineaux, Hauts-de-Seine, Île-de-France in 1984.
She is a "natural" actress. She went to theater school in Paris (18e) before entering the course of Stéphane Gildas, at Tolbiac, then the course of Bérengère Basty at the Art’aire studio. To live and pay for the courses she worked odd jobs (clothes, telemarketing).
In 2005, she went to the casting of Sheitan, where she commits to the role of a fresh and a little savage "beurette", and also meets her agent who helps her career.
