Tony Jones (born 26th May 1958) is a football (soccer) broadcaster based in England. He has contributed to all the commercial UK broadcasting outlets - Skysports, five, Channel 4 and ITV - commentating on everything from the UEFA Champions League to the English non-League.
He was part of the Hostbroadcastservices (HBS) team at the 2006 World Cup, and his voice has been heard on games distributed overseas by TWI/IMG and Octagon/BT.
He has won a Royal Television Society award for his sports reporting, and has also been responsible for producing several programmes.
Work with ITV
Jones started working with ITV in 2004 on their programme The Championship, regularly reporting and commentating and it was Jones who commentated on Blackpool's win over Yeovil Town. He also commentated on Werder Bremen's defeat by Espanyol on itv4.
