A minor is a minor scale based on A, consisting of the pitches A, B, C, D, E, F, G# and A (harmonic minor scale). Its key signature consists no flats and no sharps.

Its relative key is C major, and its parallel major is A major.

Changes needed for the melodic and harmonic versions of the scale are written in with accidentals as necessary.

All of the songs in Alicia Keys's album Songs in A minor are actually in A minor.
