Hi igni. It is good to hear from you again. The first thing to know is that we at Wikipedia have a lot of problems with vandalism on articles relating to plasma cosmology. Lots of highly cerebral editors trying to insert their own personal theories into the articles. So even before I look at what conspired, it is unsurprising that there was a misunderstanding. That said, I fail to ascertain the substantial difference between the two versions. I would guess that the insertion of the term "exclusively", which softened the tone of the associated sentence, may have raised Mr Rubin's hackles. Additionally, his adding your name to a "watch list" is actually, as far as I know, considered counter to civility. Other users have been asked to remove lists of usernames from their userpages. — goethean ॐ 15:47, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Genius

Hi Igni,

I don't understand your talk page very much :-) I don't have an email adress on Wikipedia so i may not email you and i wasn't able to put a message in the 2006 section of your talk page.

In the article Genius, i described Nietzsche's use of the word genius. I quoted directly from the original text written by Nietzsche, aphorism 354 in Die fröhliche Wissenschaft. This text start with the words Vom "Genius der Gattung". You have deleted texts i directly translated from the German original to English. The text you put in place of the text i wrote does not resemble what the text of aphorism 354 is about. Most texts of Nietzsche are only a mouseclick away, so if you can give me a footnote to support your edit, then we can have a discussion and hopefully an agreement on a future version of the text.--Daanschr 09:04, 30 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As you can see, I preserved the import in light of (one of) Nietzsche's views as concerns "genius" as a spearhead of humanity; if, however, this is your central contention, then I would suggest that the placement of the German wording would not be remotely necessary, but, in this manner, I would be very open to providing a reference of aphorism 354 of la gaya scienza to that particular segment. Please be assured, I desire a central understanding about Nietzsche between us to be shared and above all apparent in that paragraph. Once you have motioned your agreement, I will provide it myself.

(About understanding my talk page: the above is merely a notice to Wikipedians who so desire to know such appurtenances.) — ignis scripta 20:17, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will continue this conversation on the talk page of Genius.--Daanschr 09:01, 3 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Would you please not make "grammatical" corrections which significantly change the meaning of the sentence or paragraph? — Arthur Rubin | (talk) 19:03, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Assuredly, I will do as you demand, for, in seeing how these thoroughly correct and yet entirely insignificant changes have come against a remarkable semantic conservativism,[1][2] upon which I can only look with a peculiar pleasure (and it seems to have cropped up here[3] and here[4], so very inexplicably), noting its marvelous proclivities, I am torn from any desire within me to amass a ridiculous charade of paltry egoism. I must infinitely thank you for your candid Wikipedic deposition that has convinced me not to edit the aforesaid article in future.— ignis scripta 14:22, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Additionally, you might want to consider removing me from your Administrative watchlist on your userpage—contrary to your first impressions, I am no vandal of any kind. In particular, your conception regarding how my edits change "the meaning" seems so utterly laughable that I cannot understand this unless you communicate it to me more specifically. But, to make myself clear, I am not at all hostile to further discussion on open terms.— ignis scripta 14:47, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Goethean's view
