Daet is a 1st class municipality in the province of Camarines Norte, Philippines. It is the capital municipality of Camarines Norte. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 80,632 people in 16,267 households. The current mayor of Daet is Tito Sarte Sarion.
The municipality is a popular surfing spot among surfers worldwide. Aside from that, it is home to a virgin group of islands, the Calaguas.

Surfing and BeachesDaet is a famous surfing spot among surfers worldwide especially its long stretch of beach in Bagasbas. Because of the attention it has gotten from the international surfing community, the Philippine Department of Tourism turned it into an internationally-accredited surfing spot. [1] Aside from being a surfing spot, the Calagua group of islands to its north has garnered attention from local and foreign tourists alike.
