Yasuyoshi Shirasawa (1868-1947) was a Japanese botanist who worked alongside the legendary Tomitaro Makino, 'The Father of Japanese Botany', at the University of Tokyo. Shirasawa named numerous native plants, notably (with Makino) the Kyūshū Lime Tilia kiusiana.
