On the source from which I got that the line/railway was there ([http://www.londonancestor.com/maps/bc-york-nr-e.htm]), it is listed on that map as the "Exton Branch Rail<u>{{sup|y}}</u>". Whether this was meant to be Eston, it wasn't quite where Eston is ([http://www.npemap.org.uk/tiles/map.html#152,173,2]) given the branch (which isn't on the second one any more) is near Redcar and not at Eston. As there is just the one source of the Exton branch, and it is listed as being spelt Exton, I think that's the only possible way of which we can spell it on the diagram, unless someone can come up with some further evidence. --[[User:Simmo676|Simmo676]] 00:58, 29 August 2007 (UTC) |

Exton/Eston Branch Railway
On the source from which I got that the line/railway was there ([1]), it is listed on that map as the "Exton Branch Raily". Whether this was meant to be Eston, it wasn't quite where Eston is ([2]) given the branch (which isn't on the second one any more) is near Redcar and not at Eston. As there is just the one source of the Exton branch, and it is listed as being spelt Exton, I think that's the only possible way of which we can spell it on the diagram, unless someone can come up with some further evidence. --Simmo676 00:58, 29 August 2007 (UTC)
