It is the developing result of picking up narrative cues, applying schemata, framing and testing hypotheses. Ideally, the fabula can be embodied in a verbal synopsis, as general or as detailed as circumstances require. (David Bordwell, 1985) ex: Pulp Fiction, Citizen Kane, Out of the Past.

In Gaming

Fabula is a roleplaying-game created by Tomas H.V.Mørkrid from Norway. It was published in Spring 1999 and so far received one supplement: "Rollespillet Fabula: Ormens Tideverv".

Fabula is a record by the Danish band Skyphone, released 2004 on the Norwegian label Rune Grammofon
