"The Taliban agrees"
The Talib agrees, the Taliban agree - it's a plural noun. Eleland 22:00, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
- I disagree. Some examples: NASA agrees to build the shuttle vs. NASA agree to build the shuttle The board agrees to the resolution vs. The board agree to the resolution.' Congress agrees to the bill vs. Congress agree to the bill. Metallica agrees to sue Napster vs. Metallica agree to sue Napster I'm not sure what these sort of nouns are called, and I could be wrong, but all the ones that use the plural verb sound off to me.-Andrew c [talk] 22:16, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Gonzales
Terrible... the controversies had nothing to do with his resignation (especially at this point), yet stating this in the item listed makes it appear as if he resigned because of these controversies. This should be changed back to state the facts and leave out the extraneous material. --Melanoma 01:38, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've responded in detail here, but in short, all the reliable sources present his resignation in the context of the way he handled the US attorney firings and the subsequent investigation (most notably, his testimony to Congress last month, which provoked senators from both parties to call for his resignation). The context is important, and worth mentioning. However, if that context can be presented in a more NPOV manner, I'm open to suggestions. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 02:04, 28 August 2007 (UTC)
- Except note that it specifically says after several controversies over his actions., which doesn't necessarily imply because of several controversies over his actions.. The controversies are likely to have informed his decision though, and are generally the most notable aspect of his tenure at this point, so it seems reasonable to note them. --90.195.115.132 11:33, 30 August 2007 (UTC)
Greek emergency
Is over i believe. So should it not be changed to the past, Greece declared an emergency?12.105.242.43 07:48, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
Surely as it's still a state of emergency (i believe) this should still be on the news. it's not often a country declares a state of emergency. Surely a huge disaster like the foret fires in grece should be on the front page so people think about them. if i'm wrong and it's no longer a state of emergency then it can be removed. 86.131.234.128 09:20, 31 August 2007 (UTC)
