I picked up Keratitis from a bad reaction to some bad contact lens fluid. Holy Jesus Christ it fucking hurt. My eyes were on fire and I thought my eyeball had been torn. And the photosensitivity - I never want to experience that agony again.

Infection vs. Inflammation

...the article mentions both but they are actually quite different. AED 07:10, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

is keratitis contagious? gary (unsigned comment Dec 1)

Sort of, though it would depend upon what kind of Keratitis it was. This site seems to have an reasonable overview of transmission of the viral form. Forms like Photokeratitis would not be contagious. IANAD, though, so don't use what you read here as a diagnosis, check with your doctor, etc.--Arcadian 03:54, 2 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Small addition

I think it is important for wikipedia users to know that severe occular alergy can cause keratitis and I added a sentence providin this information. I think it is useful and genuine. I'd be glad if this minor improvment is not removed. thank you.SunnieBG 23:29, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
