Ideal World is a shopping channel in the UK owned by Ideal Shopping Direct Plc.[1] The company also runs other shopping channels Ideal Vitality and Create and Craft. They also sell flowers through their Ideal Flowers website in partnership with Flowers Direct.[2]

Ideal Shopping Direct launched their own falling price Jewellery Channel, Jewellery Vault[3], on the Simply Shopping channel on July 1st 2005, broadcasting live falling price Jewellery 'Games' from 5pm to 1am. Their shopping premise of ("Buy this piece of Jewellery when you see the price you want to pay, but only after the vault door has been opened, the timer has been started, and while the stock level indicator still has some green on it"), with fierce competition from other channels such as GemsTV and price-drop tv, lasted just over a year before being brought back to the Ideal World channel to broadcast as a programming 'strand' rather than as a channel in its own right, only to close completely some time after.

In 2005, Ideal Shopping Direct Plc. won the Alternative Investment Market award for company of the year.[4]
