At its best it was a very good school gaining excellent results which led to top scores in the leauge tables. Often battling with St Bernards for the top. It is also well known that nearby Kimberworth Comprehensive school and Wingfield Comprehensive school were rivals. This often led to large fights and gangs congregating around the schools. |

The name 'Old Hall' lives on in the City Learning Centre located on the site of the school. The centre was the only part of the old school which remained when it was rebuilt.. |

Old Hall Comprehensive School was located in Kimberworth, Rotherham, United Kingdom, until being converted into Winterhill School in 2005. It was originally built sometime in the 1960s. At the time of its closure it had around 130 staff members and around 1500 students from Years 7-11.
At its best it was a very good school gaining excellent results which led to top scores in the leauge tables. Often battling with St Bernards for the top. It is also well known that nearby Kimberworth Comprehensive school and Wingfield Comprehensive school were rivals with Old Hall. This often led to large fights and gangs congregating around the schools.

There was no sixth form, but after GCSEs many young people go on into modern apprenticeships, work or into sixth form in other schools or at a specialised college such as Thomas Rotherham College.
