Noteable American hardcore punk guitarist and entertainer

Started career in S.Florida punk band "F", released several vinyl recordings

1983 - F "You Are An E.P." - 12" 6 song vinyl, 1500 copies pressed, each copy had a different message written across the cover by various band members. On eof the most well known 80's hardcore punk releases to come out of the state of Florida.

1984 - F is featured on Flipside Vinyl Fanzine, a punk compilation record with such punk bands as The Dickies, T.S.O.L., Scream, and GBH

1985 - F "Mess You Up" (Mystic Records) - 7" vinyl depicting a lad threatening Madonna with a baseball bat on the cover. Includes a guest appearance by eccentric 60's recording artist Tiny Tim.

1986 - Decter joins Disorderly Conduct, a metal-edged punk band also from S.Florida featuring current Amen (band) frontman Casey Chaos

1986 - Disorderly Conduct "Amen" LP - full length release

1986 - Decter is voted "best new hardcore guitarist" in Famous Hardcore fanzine

1986 - Disorderly Conduct is featured on "Flipside Vinyl Fanzine 2" with other noteable punk bands such as The Misfits, The Germs, Agent Orange, and The Necros

Various other F releases on vinyl include "4 Bands That Could Change The World", "Killed By Florida", and Maximum Rock N Roll's "Tim Yohannan Dedication" LP

F toured with The Ramones in 1986

Disorderly Conduct becomes Amen in Los Angeles, with originals Casey Chaos and Duke Decter

Amen "Slave" recorded in 1989

Decter leaves Amen to join The Ex-Idols (Sony/Relativity Records)

1994 - The Ex-Idols "Social Kill" - full length CD. Sony finances 2 videos for this cd "Social Kill" and "Go Away" both featured on MTV

1995 - The Ex-Idols go on tour with English punk band The UK Subs

1997 - The Ex-Idols are dropped from their label and Decter joins "Skold" (RCA Records), the solo project of Tim Skold, now Marilyn Manson songwriter and bassist

1998 - Decter & Skold are featured in "In God's Hands (film)" (Sony Pictures), a fictional surf film directed by Zalman King

2000 - The Ex-Idols release their 2nd full length CD "WhoWeAre" independently

Decter tours/plays in other various bands including Drown (Elektra Records) and Diatribe (Cargo Records)

2004 - Decter rejoins Casey Chaos (Disorderly Conduct) in the current lineup for his band Amen. Amen has a gold record in the UK ("We Have Come For Your Parents" Virgin Records) and Casey Chaos becomes a grammy award winning songwriter for his contribution in "B.Y.O.B" by System Of A Down

2006 - Amen tapes a politically controversial performance for The Henry Rollins Show (IFC Channel)

2007 - An edited version of the Amen performance is broadcast internationally on IFC channels The Henry Rollins Show. Amen performs "Coma America" and "Liberation"

2007 - Amen co-headlines the "Damnation Festival" - a metal based rock festival in the UK
