Mihajlo Apostolski, born as Mihail Apostolov, (Template:Lang-bg, later Template:Lang-mk) (8 November 1901 in Štip, Ottoman Empire (now Republic of Macedonia)-7 August 1987 in Dojran, SFR Yugoslavia (now Republic of Macedonia) was a Communist general, politician and historian in Yugoslavia. Between World War I and World War II he entered in an Officer's school in Kingdom of Yugoslavia and became a major. During the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia in April, 1941, he was captured and interned in a POW camp near Milan. Shortly after his father made a request to the Bulgarian Minister of Defense, where he wrote, his son was "Bulgarian by origin", his parents too and because of that Apostolov have to be liberated. The request was granted soon.
