Rose was a tenant in the first episode then became the Landlord thereafter, Rose is best friends with Mary Jenkins, Sandra Clark and Pearl Shay, and had a daughter named Tiffany (Kia Goodwin), after her husband had passed away, Rose dealt with being a widow, but it never seemed to bother her, Rose, marries a tall Police Officer named Warren Merriwether (Alaina Reed's real-life husband Kevin Peter Hall), in February 1990, but in the fourth season finale, Rose had gave up being a Landlord and sells a building to a Fancy new landlord named Julian Barlow (Paul Winfield). Also on the show's second year (1986-1987), the 227 writers written Rose's daughter, Tiffany Holloway, out of the series, with no explanation given.
