Thank you for experimenting with the page West Springfield, Massachusetts on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you for your understanding. --AbsolutDan (talk) 20:48, 26 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove the Deletion discussion notices, it's considered vandalism. Pseudomonas 15:48, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

November 2006

Please stop. If you continue spamming, as you did in Judas Priest, you will be blocked from editing. --Nlu (talk) 06:18, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia. —— Eagle (ask me for help) 05:03, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hold on...

...a second.

OK

It doesn't bother me that you blocked this IP address. I work for a big company, I know that I share this IP (and ...43) with a lot of other people. I have a username I can log in with.

BUT HERE'S THE THING: I tried to make a minor edit-- in the SANDBOX no less-- while not logged in, and I received the message "Your account or IP address has been blocked from editing. You were blocked by Eagle 101 for the following reason (see our blocking policy): spamming\ Your IP address is 163.192.21.44."

OK, I've been blocked. No big. So I go to check out what changes my IP address has made that got us blocked...

Only I can't. There is no way to check it. Here's the path I had to take to get here:

  1. Wander around looking for a way to accomplish this. Not having any luck.
  2. Finally ended up on the page Wikipedia:Very Frequently Asked Questions
  3. In the section "Why have I been blocked?" there appears the sentence "...put the text { {unblock|reason} } tag on your talk page..."
  4. Clicking on that brought me to this page. But I still couldn't see my revision history. So I had to...
  5. Edit this page, and then...
  6. ...look at the history for this page, and then...
  7. ...click on my IP and that finally brought me to the listing of changes that had been made by this IP address.

Seriously, guys, you've GOT to come up with a simpler system!

Sorry this was so difficult for you. For future reference even as an IP, once you're on your talk page (which can be far too difficult to get to) you can get to the user history from the "user contributions" link in the toolbox to the left just under the search box. I know that isn't the main point of your post, just thought it might be useful information for the future. -- Siobhan Hansa 22:25, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whois

Whois indicates this IP address is registered to the Tribune Company in Chicago. --A. B. 03:13, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for experimenting with the page Bozo the Clown on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. A link to the edit I have reverted can be found here: link. If you believe this edit should not have been reverted, please contact me.  V60 VTalk · VDemolitions 03:19, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to WGN-TV. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you.

Please stop assuming ownership of articles such as WGN-TV. Doing so may lead to disruptive behavior such as edit wars and is a violation of policy, which may lead to a block from editing.

The next time this article is changed back to a grammatically-incorrect version, I will seek administrator assistance. I don't care about where, or to whom, this IP address belongs. Rollosmokes 08:20, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|your reason here}} below.
