The Sportmaster 512 series is a .22 caliber, bolt action, tubular magazine-fed rifle manfactured by Remington Arms between 1940 and 1962. Approximately 393,665 Sportmaster 512s had been sold during its production run. The Sportmaster 512 is capable of firing .22 Short, .22 Long, and .22 Long Rifle.

An interesting feature of this rifle is that it uses a tubular magazine and a bolt action, while most tube fed firearms utilize a lever action or pump action instead. The magazine holds 15 rounds, and an additional round can be kept in the chamber.
