Holanagadde is a village approximately 5 kilometres from Kumta taluk with convenient accesses to it by buses, tempo travellers and auto rickshaws. Holanagadde is spread on the banks of the Great Arabian Sea. Majority of the population consists of fishermen.
There is one fishery in Holanagadde. I am not sure if that's still functional. Nene beach is the most famous beach. Still have not figured what nene means.
