Some Wikipedians have formed this project to expand and improve Wikipedia's coverage of Music of Australia. It is hoped that the project will provide an editors' centralised discussion forum and a place for developing collaborations.

Standards
As a subordinate project of Wikipedia:WikiProject Music, the project will use the WP:MUSTARD guidelines and standards. Notability standards are at WP:MUSIC.
Project scope
WikiProject Australian music covers any Wikipedia article which relates to music in Australia. These include singers, musicians, ensembles, bands, orchestras, songs, albums and venues. Any article under Category:Australian music and its subcategories is considered part of the project.
