Laura Jones is a British television journalist born in 1974 who is best known for her work on the popular children's television programme Newsround. Originally from Lampeter, Laura worked as a journalist for BBC news in Wales before joining the show in 2002.
Since her arrival on the show she has reported on news from around the world, including a visit to New Orleans in 2005 to report on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
She is also a reporter on Your News on BBC News 24.
Laura studied Modern Languages at Aston University, Birmingham.
