Jordan Belfort is the former chief executive officer of Stratton Oakmont, a brokerage firm that engaged in pump-and-dump stock schemes.
Belfort is the author of the 2007 book The Wolf of Wall Street, which described his experiences as head of Stratton.
In 1999, Belfort was convicted of securities fraud for his actions at Stratton Oakmont. He was sentenced to four years in prison.
