:Thank you very much for your kind words of luck, I may be a bit busy during my RfA, my apologies for that. Well then, should we get started with the adoption things? What are your general areas of interest on Wikipedia? Polymer engineering
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Polymer engineering, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Realkyhick 00:19, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- As you've likely seen on the discussion page for the article, I've removed the proposed-deletion message for now, and posted an {{underconstruction}} message to let other editors know this is a work in progress. See my message for some help on making the article better. Realkyhick 05:12, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
- Often it is better to contribute to an existing article than start a new one, as the latter sometimes ends up "reinventing the wheel." I can now redirect your article's title to either polymer physics or polymer science. Which do you think would be better? Realkyhick 15:00, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
{{helpme}}
Well i think polymer science would be more suitable for that one, since i think i m gonna explain it more on its background and general ideas instead of telling all the engineering theories that involve. Orientalknight 14:20, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've redirected it for you. Here's the text of the article as it was, just in case you need it:
Polymers is an ever expanding field of engineering. Polymer engineering is generally an engineering field that studies everything about polymers. This field covers every aspect of polymers from chemical and physical analysis of the material to research of modifying current polymer materials for usage in various application. Polymer engineering is an important branch of engineering when it comes to material selection of a product as it provides knowledge regarding chemical nature of the substance to enable understanding of the nature of this material. Since polymer has replaced many conventional materials like woods and metals in various applications nowadays, moreover it is a broad field of studies with endless possible alteration in the material itself, polymer engineering is getting more important and prominent in engineering fields today. Polymer engineers in industries usually work as researchers, material engineers or even chemical engineers since they have been exposed to the knowlegde of conducting chemical analysis to the material and general engineering practices.
