The Cal-P Line is a railroad line that is located between Martinez and Sacramento, California. It hosts a number of Amtrak passenger trains, such as the Capitol Corridor, Coast Starlight, and California Zephyr. The Line was originally built by the California Northern Railroad, which was purchased by the Southern Pacific Railroad, who then was purchased by the Union Pacific Railroad. Union Pacific owns the tracks and operates a heavy amount of freight over the route.
