Just one comment. It's on the article's statement that Heather McCartney "has a much younger half-sister, Beatrice Milly McCartney, born to Paul and Heather Mills on October 28, 2003." |
Beatrice is arguably not her half-sister. Not if Mary and Stella are her half-sisters and James her half-brother. The term "half-sister" infers a biological connection on Heather's part to one or other (but not both) of the biological parents of Beatrice. Since neither Paul McCartney nor Heather Mills is a biological parent of Heather McCartney, technically speaking Beatrice is no biological relation of Heather McCartney at all, and so "half-sister" seems inappropriate. |
Furthermore, for Beatrice to be her half-sister would imply Heather McCartney was a full sister to Mary, Stella, and James, which notwithstanding her adoption by Paul McCartney has a bizarre feel to it. |
I would suggest using some different term to describe the connection between Heather McCartney and Beatrice McCartney. "Adoptive sister" maybe. |
