Furthermore, for Beatrice to be her half-sister would imply Heather McCartney was a full sister to Mary, Stella, and James, which notwithstanding her adoption by Paul McCartney has a bizarre feel to it.

I would suggest using some different term to describe the connection between Heather McCartney and Beatrice McCartney. "Adoptive sister" maybe.

Just one comment. It's on the article's statement that Heather McCartney "has a much younger half-sister, Beatrice Milly McCartney, born to Paul and Heather Mills on October 28, 2003."

Beatrice is arguably not her half-sister. Not if Mary and Stella are her half-sisters and James her half-brother. The term "half-sister" infers a biological connection on Heather's part to one or other (but not both) of the biological parents of Beatrice. Since neither Paul McCartney nor Heather Mills is a biological parent of Heather McCartney, technically speaking Beatrice is no biological relation of Heather McCartney at all, and so "half-sister" seems inappropriate.

—Preceding unsigned comment added by 129.78.64.101 (talk) 01:45, 8 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
