Clifford Tyrone Charlton (born February 16, 1965 in Tallahassee, Florida) is a former American football linebacker for the Cleveland Browns. Charlton was drafted by the Browns in the first round of the 1988 NFL Draft with the 21st overall pick. As a first round pick, the Browns had high expectations for Charlton. However, Charlton played mostly on special teams and never assumed a key role for the Browns. [1]
