Your report fails to mention very important aspects of the bases 'murky' past. This whole area is known as the UK equivalent of Nevada's Area 51. Many unexplained UFO phenomenon and strange weather patterns has happened here and continues to this day. Most recently has been the mysterious disappearance of a Black Watch training team and the sudden increase in joint US/UK military operations observed immediately afterwards. Apparently video footage captured during a training exercise captured alien footage, but unfortunately the entire unit that was on the training mission has now disappeared. All have been listed as being killed in action in Iraq and that they were not really in Scotland. This is turning into a serious X-file here in the UK. The government has been very reluctant to comment on these activities and has been withholding information on the grounds of national security under exemption 1 of the Code of Practice on Access to Government Information.
