Marine Engineer Hans Lüdemann (died 1913) was a german sailor who saved his ship, Torpedo boat S148, after a boiler room explosion. His actions saved many lives. A world war 2 german destroyer, Z18, which was sunk in the Battle of Narvik was named Lans Ludemann in his honour.
