Boi Mitsu Garu (Blood+ Episode)

Description

This episode is the beginning of the second major story plot in the anime series. This episode starts off with Kai and Saya finally coming to peace with the many events that took place in paris.

Plot

as soon as the episode begins Diva and Carl board the Red Shields Base/Battleship. Carl immediately driven by rage and Bloodlust begans killing the agents nearest to him by punctiring their jugular veins and begins his search for Saya. Diva who over the last 10 or so episodes had developed Shota Conplex for Riku begins his search for him by singing in a way only other chiropterans can hear (but riku somehow heard before he became a chevalier). Saya, Kai, Riku, and Haji start to run to the main room in ship but Saya lets a sliding wall separate them so she could find Diva alone so as not to put Riku in danger since he has yet to fully become a chevalier.

As Riku walks down a hall two hallways intersect and Riku hears Diva calling out to him and is frozen by fear somewhat knowing what she intends to do, when Kai tells him to keep moving. As Diva walks around the interior of the ship she is blocked by a small group of of uniformed soldiers except one who happens to be unlucky enough to be wear sneakers in her favorite color. Kai and Riku now with a group of Red Shield Agents are waiting for a elevator. As soon as the elevator doors open the group is horrified to see Diva wear a white elegant dress and new blue sneakers (as a light point in the episode in the episode that served its point greatly). Kai and Riku run down steps leaving the soldiers to fend for themselves and search for a place to hide while Diva kills them off and pursues. They hold up in a warehouse like room as Kai and Riku began to talk about him not being able to protect Saya as Kai tries to use a quarter to unscrew grating in front of ventilation when he leaves to search another part of the room for a screwdriver.

When Diva walks in it show a first person view of her walking towards a Optimistic Riku still trying to open the grating with a quarter when he hears her footsteps he says " I know you probably think i'm silly but i have to try" (thinking Diva to be Kai). As she gets right behind Riku Kai tells him to watch out he falls of the crate he was standing on and turns around to see Diva. Kai makes a attempt to shoot her but she throws him against metal crates Knocking him out. Diva then undresses and rapes Riku. Saya and Carl have began to fight and and make their way to that room

Series Importance

This episode is important for the fact that it is the episode when Diva becomes pregnant which brings up a major problem for Saya ... Kill the only thing left of Riku or possibly start anouther war between chiropteran queens.

reception

This was the only anime on the Adult Swim block that was featured Uncut it's first airing unlike the episodes of anime such as Paranoia Agent and the Trigun episode "Demon Eye". This was most likely due to the fact that it was the only episode of a anime on Adult Swim to actually show a [Graphic] Rape Scene. The cut of this scene took nearly 10 minutes out of the show which caused them to fill up the time after the show ended with commercials normally seen only during the [Cartoon Network] time slot.
