Paolo is a fictional character from the Dune universe created by Frank Herbert. A ghola of Paul Atreides, he appears in Hunters of Dune, the first novel continuing Herbert's original series by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson.
The Face Dancer Khrone, hoping to usurp his masters, conspires to create a Kwisatz Haderach. He orders the Lost Tleilaxu Uxtal to create a ghola from a damaged nullentropy tube found inside a dead Tleilaxu Master in Bandalong. Their first creation turns out to be a ghola of Vladimir Harkonnen, but after performing some research Khrone believes the Vladimir Harkonnen ghola would never be able to become a Kwisatz Haderach, so he orders Uxtal to create a Paul Atreides ghola.
