Javier Martínez Aguinaga, (born September 2 1988 in Pamplona, Navarre, Spain), is a central midfield player who currently plays for Athletic Bilbao in La Liga.
Athletic signed him as a raw 17 year old for €6 million in the summer of 2006 from Osasuna [1], despite him never having played a first team game. He soon became a regular in the side that season with his powerful displays, with his highlight being scoring twice against Deportivo La Coruña.
