*I put some quotes back in, since Wikipediatrix seems on a break. But these are not the quotes she had deleted, though I didn't realize it till now. Lucy Ellmann

Cheers. She is notable and rather under-cherished, I think... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mousehead (talkcontribs) 23:34, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Religion Stats AfD's

I went ahead and closed those AfD's by withdrawing the nom due to changes in WP:NOT. --Strothra 18:43, 3 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nevers Cathedral

I am not quite sure what that was all about, but thanks very much for steering the article through. HeartofaDog (talkcontribs) 23:23, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just some bored teenager I suspect - silly nonsense. I'd hoped he'd learned his lesson, but looking at his latest contribution I doubt it. Iain99Balderdash and piffle 23:31, 21 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Protection of Toilet

Thanks. I've fixed my folly. :-) —[[Animum | talk]] 21:36, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New articles

Hi Iain, Saw your note about the Neil Griffiths article. I also created ones for Linda Gillard, Carole Cadwalladr and Glen Neath. I'm assuming that these fall under the same guidelines? I'm interested in contemporary fiction so I thought I'd try and add some new names to Wikipedia. Do these articles need Wikifying? Or are they okay? Best etc etc Mousehead 16:25, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya. Yes, the style hints I offered generally apply to all articles (though obviously which of the many available stub templates and categories to use depends on the subject of the article). If you'd like to read about style guidelines in excruciating detail you can have a look at Wikipedia:Manual of Style, but generally if you look at other articles, especially those on similar subjects, and try to match the style they use you shouldn't go too far wrong. Hello

Thanks for the pointers! Trying to get the hang of this. Has Glen Neath been deleted then? Or have I just lost it? Bit confused.... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mousehead (talkcontribs) 17:23, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No, it hasn't been deleted. If an article's been deleted, you get a note at the bottom of the page like this one when you try to edit it. I found it at Glen neath - just a mistake with the capitals. I've moved it to the correct title now. Iain99Balderdash and piffle 17:33, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, just having written four novels and being published in an academic journal does not necessarily assert notability. I've written two novels (and I admit they're fully fluffy romance novels), and I've been published in academic journals, and I'm not yet considered notable enough for a Wikipedia article. The other aspect of this is that notability needs to be asserted from the initial creation of the article with links to external sources from the get go. Granted, I'm not saying Todd McEwen isn't notable - just that the article as posted when I saw it did not demonstrate notability. Lcarscad 23:58, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion templates

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with Dr. Rafal E. Dunin-Borkowski. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Stifle (talk) 23:11, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I think you've made a mistake - I did not create the article, and as WP:CSD notes, "Any user who is not the creator of a page may remove a speedy tag from it". In this case, the article quite obviously makes claims of importance, so I went ahead and removed the tag. Best, Iain99Balderdash and piffle 23:18, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Must have changed since I looked at it last. Never mind, then. Stifle (talk) 23:20, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hey thanks for explaining in sutch a kind way most people would ignor my question or coment back conplaining oh and thanks for the nice comments about me not being a vandal now -- curttrfc —Preceding comment was added at 19:13, 23 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Michelangelo phenomenon

I didn't know that it wasn't allowed to post texts like that... I found the definition I put on www.encyclopedia.com and was surprised that there was nothing about Michelangelo phenomenon on Wikipedia so I pasted the definition. I didn't check the rules, my fault. Thanks for correcting me, I am sorry for my mistake. Arya777

Edit: I paraphrased the text, I hope it's ok.

My mistake, you were reverting page-move vandalism, not causing it. Once again, sorry. You should be able to edit again momentarily. -- John Reaves 10:12, 5 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the guidance for my Spittle article, and with your comments on the delete-discussion page. Best wishes Kirkdale 17:16, 13 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re: speedy tagging

I tagged those articles when they were nothing more then one liners without references. Władysław Szafer obituary reference goes to a broken link (still). So how is any body to know if these people are or were real. I will try and refrain from such requests. --Jeanenawhitney (talk) 01:03, 22 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
