Richmond was a parliamentary constituency centred on the town of Richmond, which is in the northern part of the historic county of Surrey and (since 1965) in South London. It returned one Member of Parliament (MP) to the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom, elected by the first past the post system.

History

The constituency was created by the Representation of the People Act 1918 for the 1918 general election. It was abolished for the 1983 general election, when it was replaced by the new Richmond & Barnes constituency.
