The '''Duke of Edinburgh Award''' is an an award scheme for young people, and is most popular in [[Commonwealth of Nations|Commonwealth countries]]. It is so named for its patron, the [[Duke of Edinburgh]] - currently [[Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh|Prince Philip]] is the principal patron of the award.

Attaining the award involves completing a combination of activities, including community service and camping trips. Three levels of the award are currently available - gold, silver and bronze.
