Unlike the 2004 feature film ''[[Finding Neverland]]'', ''The Lost Boys'' adheres closely to the known facts and timeline of Barrie's and the Davies' lives, sometimes using surviving correspondence between the subjects as the basis for dialog.

The Lost Boys is a 1978 docudrama mini-series produced by the BBC, written by Andrew Birkin, and directed by Rodney Bennett, about the relationship between Peter Pan creator J. M. Barrie and the Llewelyn Davies boys.

Plot

The series begins at the time when Barrie met the oldest boys as small children in Kensington Gardens. It covers the period in which he became acquainted with Sylvia Llewelyn Davies and the rest of the family, the writing and production of the play Peter Pan, the illnesses and deaths of Arthur and Sylvia, Barrie's divorce, and the deaths of George and Michael as young adults. Unlike the 2004 feature film Finding Neverland, The Lost Boys adheres closely to the known facts and timeline of Barrie's and the Davies' lives, sometimes using surviving correspondence between the subjects as the basis for dialog.
