List of Metalocalypse episodes

This is a list of episodes for the Cartoon Network animated television series Metalocalypse, which is part of the Adult Swim programming block. The series is produced by Williams Street Studios and animated by Titmouse, Inc. Metalocalypse made its Adult Swim Video debut on August 4, 2006 and aired on television August 6, 2006. The final episode of the first season aired on December 17, 2006. The release date for the Season One DVD was October 2, 2007, one week after the release of the The Dethalbum. Season Two began September 23rd, two days prior to the release of the The Dethalbum (in which the deluxe edition features the first episode of Season Two).

Unable to make an album brutal enough to fit his exacting standards, Nathan decides to record Dethklok's next album in the Mariana Trench. Meanwhile, the Tribunal blackmails a producer into spying on them.

Murderface's birthday is approaching and the rest of Dethklok can't figure out what to get him. Guest appearances by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.

During an apology tour (for nearly destroying the country) in Finland, Dethklok accidentally summons Mustakrakish, the lake troll, after replacing the national anthem with a song taken from a necronomic spell book. Guest appearances by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett.
5	106	"Dethkomedy"	September 3, 2006
To prevent burning out on their own music, Dethklok begins performing stand-up comedy. Guest appearance by James Hetfield.

A journalist reunites the members of Dethklok with their families.

Dethklok's record label hires a therapist to help them get along with each other. Guest appearance by Jeff Loomis.

Pickles reunites and tours with his previous band Snakes N' Barrels. Guest appearances by Michael Amott, Steve Smyth, and Warrel Dane.

In celebration of International Dethfan Day, Dethklok opens their mansion, Mordhaus, to their many fans.

In order to avoid paying taxes on the ridiculous sums of money they've earned, Dethklok begins doing all the charity work they can find, even adopting a son under the mistaken impression that he can be labeled as a tax write-off.

Skwisgaar hosts his own televised pay-per-view guitar workshop while the rest of Dethklok enjoy their endorsement benefits. Guest appearance by King Diamond.

Dethklok has an employee evaluation to find out who is embezzling money from them. Taking advantage of the situation, General Crozier sends an assassin to pose as one of their employees. Guest appearance by King Diamond.

Nathan tries to earn his GED after recurring dreams of Dethklok's untimely demise and his own unfavorable career choices as a result while Murderface is preparing to go on celebrity spelling bee. Guest appearances by King Diamond and George Fisher.

After falling into a deep depression, Dethklok travels to Mississippi to learn about the blues. Guest appearances by King Diamond and George Fisher.

Murderface searches for a religion after a near-death experience leaves him longing for greater meaning. He samples everything from Christianity to Satanism before finding his true church.

Toki tries to compensate for his adorable charm by over-brutalizing his intentions and actions, adopting mannerisms well-known to Black metal bands. Guest appearance by George Fisher.

The Tribunal commissions Dr. Rockzo, The Rock 'n' Roll Clown, to gather information on Dethklok. Dr. Rockzo and Toki's sudden friendship has the rest of Dethklok uneasy.

Dethklok is asked to host the United States Pornography Awards, but Nathan's new controlling girlfriend puts a damper on the situation for the entire band.

When Dethklok is given a movie deal, the end product could threaten their fame.

Dethklok executes their most brutal performance; General Crozier and Cardinal Ravenwood make their move, unapproved by The Tribunal.

Season 2: 2007-2008

Following the events of the season one finale, Dethklok has withdrawn from the public eye after the attempt on their lives at the end of the last season. With the world reacting in chaos as a result, the group plan a concert involving them murdering death row inmates. Guest voice by Silenoz of Dimmu Borgir.

Toki Wartooth is fed up playing in the shadow of Skwisgaar's lead guitar. Under the tutelage of a crusty old guitar master, Toki learns that the heart, too, has strings.
23	203	"Dethvengeance"	October 7, 2007
While Dethklok spends their studio time recording onto the purest of all analog formats (water), a young fan kidnapped and tortured for illegally downloading the group's songs and the surviving brother from the "Deathfan" episode, escape with a mysterious assassin bent on destroying Deathlok. Guest appearance by George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher of Cannibal Corpse.
24	204	"Dethdoubles"	November 4, 2007
Fearing for their safety after yet another public bloodbath (caused by a gun mishap), the CFO hires look-a-likes of Dethklok to make public appearances while the band prepares for a Duncan Hills Coffee promotional event. But as the band bonds with their new dopplegangers, they are oblivious to the fact that the doubles are spies for the Tribunal. Guest voice by ICS Vortex of Dimmu Borgir, Arcturus and Code.

Dethklok enter the world of fashion, with help from a imfamous German fashion designer who was convicted of starving his female models to death. However, when the group's prototype clothing turns out to not fit the band (who lied about their measurements), the group experiences the brutality of dieting. Guest appearances by Samoth, Ihsahn, and Trym Torson of Emperor.
26	206	"Cleanzo"	November 18, 2007
When Dr. Rockzo asks Dethklok for help in kicking his drug habits, the group reluctantly help the rock and roll clown. Guest appearance by Devin Townsend.

Notes

The airing of Season Two of Metalocalypse has been paused until April 2008. In the introduction to "Cleanzo", [adult swim] wrote: "Next is the last new Metalocalypse of the year. It's taking a break 'till 2008. After all, the holidays are brutal enough, so you metal fiends will have to make do with the old eps or the CD, or go back to college and catch the tour before it runs out".
