Kingdom of Sorrow |
---|
Kingdom of Sorrow, sometimes abbreviated to KoS, is a sludgecore metal band formed in 2005 as a side project. It features Kirk Windstein of Crowbar and Down and Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed.
The band's self-titled debut album is slated for a February 19, 2008 release on Relapse Records per the KoS official Myspace. Under an unidentified label, the album was recorded at Planet Z studios with producer Zeuss B. Held, known for his work with Shadows Fall. Kingdom of Sorrow is planned to include 13 tracks as well as a cover of Motörhead's "No Class." Jasta has also stated that it will include two surprise guest appearances.[1] Tracks off the upcoming album, such as "Buried in Black," currently air on the satellite radio station, Hard Attack. The aforementioned song was also included as the final track of the compilation album, MTV2 Headbangers Ball: The Revenge in April 2006.
As of July 2007, an intro page makes up the official KoS website, linking to a MySpace named "crowbreed" (an obvious amalgam of Crowbar and Hatebreed).[2] However, this account remains virtually empty and hasn't been accessed since August 13, 2006. The group's official MySpace appears to be "kingdomofsorrow," which includes updates as well as tracks off the upcoming album.[3]
