"Agadoo" was a nonsense song recorded by the band Black Lace in 1984. It was a cover of a European 70's hit called "Agadou". "Agadoo" peaked at number 2 in the UK singles chart and spent 30 weeks in the UK Top 75.

The original song was played in a Derby nightclub, 'Gossips', to which the bar staff made a dance. It proved so popular that when Black Lace performed at the club in 1981, they learnt the dance and recorded their own version. This was verified on Radio Derby in 2006.

Black Lace also recorded an x-rated version of the song entitled "Have a Screw," but did not release this version as a single.

The Australian satirical TV Show CNNNN ran a fake cross-promotion for "Agadoo: The Musical."

The song was parodied in "The Chicken Song" by the satirical television programme, Spitting Image.

In 1974, Patrick Zabé released Agadou in French.
